The village of roses, it is about sixty dapper traditional houses of the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries, charming paved and flowered streets, art galleries, remarkable gardens, ditches transformed into shaded walks. The history of Gerberoy is however much more eventful than this idyllic picture suggests. Culminating at 188 m, the city represented a strategic point at the crossroads of the domain of the Capetians and Normandy. A situation that led to it being pillaged, dismantled and rebuilt five times between 1079 and 1437. The car parks for non-residents are located at the entrances to the town.
