It is the starting point of the Ossau valley: Louvie-Juzon, criss-crossed by five major axes of the Pyrenees: towards the Pic du Midi d'Ossau, the Pourtalet pass (towards Spain), the Aspe valley or even Lourdes. At the end of the 16th century, this village would have sheltered a domengeadure (i.e. a noble house) at the origin of a quarrel between Bertrand d'Espalungue and Jacques de Montaut who were fighting for the title of lord of Louvie-Juzon. You can see old houses, visit the church with its beautiful octagonal bell tower and its pulpit supported by an atlatl, a calvary and interesting architectural details. Beyond the village extends the whole valley, with the plateau of Benou, Laruns, Gourette and Artouste, two important ski resorts in Bearn. Hikers will find walks in the middle of nature, with the pure air of the mountains, very pleasant.
