This small town, today populated by around 1,450 inhabitants, has a long history. One example is the Ospitalea estate, a former pilgrims' hospital located above Bipia, which can be recognized by the height of its old building. A preservation committee has been set up to protect the building from the ravages of time, refusing to see such a beautiful edifice fall into further disrepair. The Middle Ages are also represented by the Martienea fortified house. On the pediment square, visit the Makhilas workshop, for which the village is famous!
