The Craonnelle National Necropolis, created in 1920, is home to 3,934 bodies killed in the battles of the Chemin des Dames.
The national necropolis of Craonnelle was created in 1920, when a cemetery had already been set up here during the war. It gathers 3,934 bodies: all of them are combatants who fell during the battles of the Chemin des Dames, between 1914 and 1918. 24 British soldiers, 7 of whom are identified, and 2 Belgian soldiers are among those buried here. Note, in the neighboring communal cemetery, the funeral monument of the Descubes Saint-Désir family, built in the form of a Greek temple.
