An opportunity to discover the castle, with its ramparts, circular towers and real dungeons, through a visit.

Visit the majestic Château de Coucy and discover over 2 km of ramparts surrounding the fortified enclosure, the four circular towers and the imposing dungeons measuring 20 m in diameter and 40 m high. This architectural masterpiece was designed in the ^13th century and embellished in the ^14th century, before being restored by Viollet-le-Duc in the ^19th century. Let yourself be transported by the medieval atmosphere and discover the fascinating history of this Aisne landmark.

Open all year round. Closed January 1, May 1 and December 25. Low season: daily and public holidays from 10am to 1pm (last visit at 12:15pm) and from 2pm to 5:30pm (last visit at 4:45pm). High season: daily and public holidays from 10am to 1pm (last visit at 12:15pm) and from 2pm to 6:30pm (last visit at 5:45pm). Low season: September to end April; high season: May to early September. Free admission for children under 18. Adults: €7. Online ticketing available. Cheques not accepted. Self-guided tour with tour document or free application. Guided tours.

Une belle visite

Une jolie visite des ruines de cette ancienne forteresse, bien documentée par des écriteaux. Privilégier une visite par beau temps car la majorité des choses à voir se trouvent à l'extérieur.

jolie ballade, beau vestige. Conseil si vus pouvez y aller durant les médiéval en avril pour profiter des stands et spectacles c'est un grand plus

Même si le château est à l'état de ruines (car il a été détruit pendant la première guerre mondiale), il est à visiter. Les remparts et vestiges nous donnent une idée de la grandeur de cet ancien château. Néanmoins, certains souterrains peuvent encore être visités et les panneaux explicatifs et les schémas de l'ancien château sont très intéressants.

Ville médiévale, Coucy est par ailleurs une petite ville pleine de charme.
