"King am not, nor prince, nor duke, nor count also, I am the lord of Coucy". Enguerrand III (1182-1242) was right to be so proud since he built the largest medieval castle ever built in Europe! Wherever you come from, the building imposes its majesty on the valley of the Ailette. Located 15 kilometers from Laon, Coucy is a village that is both intimate and open to the world, a resolutely charming place.
