CHAPEL - CHEMIN DES DAMES MEMORIAL

Many monuments dedicated to the memory of the soldiers fallen during the First World War are to be discovered in Cerny-en-Laonnois. First of all, the chapel, inside which there are many commemorative plaques. Opposite, the lantern of the dead, which shines a flame symbolizing the sacrifice of those fallen on the battlefields. On the other side of the road is the national necropolis where more than 5,000 French soldiers are buried.
