5 minutes from La Roche-sur-Yon, Venansault is bordered by the Jaunay and Guyon rivers and offers walkers and sportsmen numerous hiking trails, health trails, as well as bodies of water, which fishermen know well. This is for the nature side. On the heritage side, there are some pretty buildings that are worth seeing, as well as the church, such as the Demeure Monbail, an old noble house and seigniory whose origins go back to the 12th century; the Boursière (built around 1224), a castle, a former mill that belonged to Marguerite du Puy du Fou; and finally Les Hermitans, a castle built in 1854.
