To the south of Mouchamps, Saint-Prouant is home to a wealth of heritage, including the Prieuré de Grammont (owned by the Conseil départemental de Vendée). Classified as a historical monument, it was founded in 1200 and is part of the Grandmont order in Limousin. With its chapel and conventual buildings (chapel, chapter house, refectory), it is one of the best preserved in France! Another curiosity is the temple, located in the former 13th century Catholic church. Its façade is dominated by a small arch housing a bell. Also worth seeing is the typical 18th century dwelling. For a family picnic, the Bourroche pond is ideal.
