This popular festival takes place in the historic district of Les Sables d'Olonne, the popular district where the sailors lived mainly: La Chaume. It is clearly the celebration of the people of the sea! The highlight of the day is undoubtedly the gathering in period costume with sailors' songs, nautical parades, exhibitions, conferences, and in the evening a great meal with local products and a concert. Two years ago, the Elmer Food Beat group set the Chaume on fire. A friendly and family celebration, with a 100% chaumois spirit!

Véritable fête des gens de la mer, la grande bordée est synonyme non seulement de fête mais aussi de convivialité. Ce qui est bien c'est que cette année elle a eu lieu en août. Les soirées sont mémorables
