A place of fairs since 1498, Le Poiré-sur-Vie was for a long time an important town, even more so than La Roche-sur-Yon. The town lived on the industry of its mills, trade and agriculture. The walk along the river Ruth is an attractive stroll, with the mill of Verdonnière, known as the mill to Elise, still in activity, which can be visited and where you can buy its flour. Children's playground, picnic tables, stretch of water. A well laid out walk goes around it. Climbing through the wooded area, you will arrive at the indoor swimming pool. There is also a beautiful viewpoint on the church square.
