Visit of the port of Aiguillon, a beaching port located at the mouth of the river Lay.

Located at the mouth of the river Lay, the port of Aiguillon is a beaching port. It is an open sea anchorage, the mooring is done on wooden booms, giving it this typicality. At the end of the 20th century, fishing, oyster farming, mussel farming and yachting ensured the activity of the port. The current port area, located along the Lay estuary, extends over a length of 700 meters. Different types of fishing are practiced there: net, trawl, elver, dredge (scallops, scallops, clams) and mussel.

Le port de l'Aiguillon sur mer est situé sur le Lay, il est assez atypique avec ses troncs d'arbres qui servent pour amarrer les bateaux. On peut se promener à pied le long des quais et aussi l'observer depuis le pont piéton qui surplombe le Lay.
