8 km north of La Roche-sur-Yon, Dompierre-sur-Yon keeps in its heritage several sites to see, such as the Pierre Plate bridge composed of three schist megaliths, the old parish church dating from 1628 and last vestige of the priory, the dwellings of Éraudière and Beaumanoir, respectively from the 15th and 17th centuries, but also the castles of Rortheau (1844) and La Braconnière (late Middle Ages). While walking, you will pass by the Margerie fountain and also the stele of the Maquis R1 in the Bois des Gâts (a high place of the Resistance during the Second World War). You should also see the neo-gothic church and the chapel of Margerie, dating from the 19th century.
