Located in the forest massif near Monein, Lasseube and Oloron, Estialescq is experiencing a renaissance almost entirely thanks to tourism. Formerly rich in its lime trade and pastoral life, it currently highlights its Jurançon vineyards and its water park (Aquabéarn), its proximity to the three Pyrenean valleys of Aspes, Ossau and Barétous and its location on the Santiago de Compostela route. A visit to the 18th century church of Saint-Vincent, a surprisingly pale blue colour, is a priority. It earned the locality the nickname "Smurfs village". This tint is due to the limestone and its firing giving a colour that changes over time.
