Famous for its pepper production, Espelette also boasts a rich pastoral heritage. The farm trail invites you to explore this tradition over a 4 km loop on the Escondray plateau. The starting point is in Haranea, where you'll pass through a fern forest. Along the way, you'll have the chance to admire meadows and farms, and perhaps even come across some of the Basque country's most emblematic animals.

Espelette is a town in the Basque Country, between Bidarray and Itxassou, known for its outdoor activities. The boat excursion agency Nature et Rivière offers a range of activities to help you make the most of the surrounding countryside. Fabien, a qualified river guide, organizes customized river descents in canoe, raft or kayak, according to participants' expectations and abilities. It's also possible to practice discovery canyoning, without ropes, playing with natural slides, jumps and swimming in pools of translucent water. Prices vary according to the activity chosen, and payments can be made by cheque or cash. Groups are accepted, with a minimum of 5 people and a maximum of 30.
