Hotel-restaurant where the menu represents the local gastronomy and the local producers with dishes according to the seasons.
The Darraïdou family has preserved this superb room for 5 generations, revealing an era and a region. Peppers are present everywhere, as well as an impressive wine cellar... In the kitchen, Auxtin and his team showcase local producers in a menu that is representative of local gastronomy. The dishes vary according to the seasons: homemade foie gras, trout from Banka, axoa, Biscayan cod, apple pudding, lamb sweetbreads, duck breast, Ibaïama pork txuleta from Ospital, homemade flan (Koka), etc. A true ode to the land!

The rest of the year, open from Wednesday to Sunday evening. Reservation recommended. Menus : 25,50 €, 30 €. Menu from 26 to 49 €. Suggestions of the moment. Children's menu : 12,50 €. et pourtant on avait pas réservé on atout fait pour nous trouver une place on était quatre
Cuisine de tradition basque, avec le fameux piment, bien sûr.
Pour y avoir dormi deux nuits, une belle chambre calme est spacieuse.
Pour y avoir manger, un menu basque à 20€ avec 2 entrées, un plat principale et un dessert. Tout était bon et copieux.
A notre dernier passage de fin septembre 2015, c'était tout autre chose, encore plus chère, mais surtout moins bon. Le plat typique du restaurant n'était pas bon du tout, veau trop sec et morceaux coupés trop grossièrement, sans goût.
Quand à l'hôtel, c'était tout juste propre.
A évitez...
Une super adresse pour déjeuner en famille, un restaurant de grande notoriété qui sait recevoir sans "chichi".
limite de l'incorrection de la part d'un serveur qui n'aime pas servir.A éviter piège à touristes et note salée
