This church is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the Basque Country
It is considered one of the most beautiful in the Basque Country. Its location near the small Romanesque bridge and the delightful tree-lined cemetery (see the discoidal steles) which closes in around it already makes it a jewel. Its Renaissance bell tower is particularly remarkable. In the church, don't miss to observe how the nave is supported (big buttresses), the pulpit with panels, the gilded baroque altarpiece with twisted columns and alcoves (17th century) and finally the three floors of galleries.

une eglise basque comme on les aime
c'est une belle église mélangeant 3 influences: l'époque Renaissance, le Baroque pour le rétable, et les fameuses galeries où s'installent les basques (hommes seulement) assistant aux offices. Elle s'intègre à merveille dans le paysage ,entourée de maisons anciennes , tout près de la rivière

église, un peu excentrée du village, assez austère avec ses airs de forteresse aux murs épais et sa tour clocher. à l'intérieur de l'édifice trois galeries en bois et un retable richement décoré.
