On the edge of the forest and 8 km from Alençon, this sarthoise commune of 2,000 inhabitants scattered in a multitude of localities and hamlets is home to a remarkable medieval church. The chapel of Ancinnette also dates from the eleventh century. Three very powerful lords have marked Ancinnes: the lords of Maulny, Coutillioles and Couesme. The lords of Couesme settled in the commune around the year 1000 and stayed there until 1669, when the Manoir de Couesme was sold to the family of Louvigny. Since the 2000 s, an association has focused on its restoration and its recovery and program of artistic animations. A guest room and reception rooms are now open to the public. Ancinnes is a starting point for walking.Picnic areas at the Oisellerie Pond (fishing pond) and the countryside (stadium street).
