Its heritage includes the Notre-Dame-de-l'Épine basilica, built by the Benedictines at the end of the 10th century and lasting for almost a century. The lime kilns, still standing in the town centre, bear witness to a more recent past and are a reminder that the region had a very flourishing lime production and construction industry in the 19th century. A perpetual clock has been installed at the top of the tower. Evron is now a lively little town with many shops, gourmet restaurants and even a beauty and wellness area with sauna and hammam (Spa de la Fontaine) for relaxation after a walk on the surrounding trails
