A splendid park in Maulévrier, the largest Japanese garden in Europe, with a greenhouse, tea room and plant sales point.
What a splendor! With its 29 hectares, Maulévrier is the largest Japanese garden in Europe. Built at the end of the 19th century by an architect who was fond of orientalism, it invites you to contemplate. Illuminated at night, it gains even more splendor. A booklet is delivered to children with riddles and games to share the wonder of their parents. Tea room and sale of bonsai and exotic plants in the greenhouse. Activities all year round, from Japanese archery to the cherry tree festival.

Au moins ma 5e ou 6e visite mais j'apprécie toujours autant la quiétude du parc, même quand il y a un peu de monde. La période des cerisiers en fleurs est vraiment magnifique ! Juste un gros bémol sur la capacité des parkings qui n'est pas du tout adaptée, sans compter l'état de certains d'entre eux...
