75 kilometres south of Angers and 13 kilometres south-east of Cholet. In the heart of the Mauges, the land of the "Mauvaises Gens" (bad people) as told in a comic strip by Etienne Davodeau, the small town of Maulévrier is best known for its magnificent park, which is none other than the largest Japanese garden in Europe. Don't hesitate to eat at the table of the Château Colbert, to admire the menhir known as the "salt stone" or to take a family walk at the Lac du Verdon.
