The village of Rochemenier, grouped together in 1842 with the commune of Louresse, is one of the high points of tourism in Anjou. Since 1967, you can visit a beautiful troglodytic complex: two old farms with outbuildings dug into the rock. The village has grown since its small heritage has been renovated. To discover: a wash-house, a windmill, the ruins of the church of Varanne - which was destroyed by the Huguenots in the 16th century - and the pretty little church of Sainte-Madeleine-et-Saint-Jean. Guest houses and restaurants, more or less troglodytic, are scattered around the town, many of them hidden underground with obvious charm
