Situated beside the stream, the villa bears witness to a rich history through its various owners

Close to its eponymous stream, Villa Uhaldia bears witness to a rich history through its various owners, all of whom loved the site. It is one of Bidart's most important villas, built on the foundations of a former farmhouse and incorporating the codes of neo-Basque architecture in the Labourdin style. The renovated farmhouse was reorganized according to the standards of the period (1920): hall, grand staircase, salons.... A few years later, the famous architect Henri Rateau de Bidart gave it its current configuration, with its majestic terrace.
