32 kilometres north of Angers. Follow the direction Rennes - Laval until Montreuil-Juigné. Then follow Sablé - Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe. The town of Champigné is home to several listed castles and manors (but not all of them can be visited, such as the Château des Briottières, built in the 18th century). The town is famous for having organized, between 1930 and 1990, its famous "Lily of the Valley Festival", which attracted all the inhabitants of the region. Today Champigné is a quiet village. You can walk along a pretty footpath or enjoy the bathing pleasures around the lake.
