Zen restaurant offering French-Japanese cuisine in the train station district in Angers.
Kazumi is both an elegant, no-frills decor, an intimate atmosphere and a unique meal prepared before your eyes. It's a fusion of French and Japanese cuisine for a Zen interlude in the station area. The chef places his meats and vegetables on large hot plates for a cooking process called Teppanyaki. Guests at the counter thus gradually discover what they are going to find on their plate, because the menu is almost a surprise. As a starter, a skewer of prawns with a succulent miso sauce announces a tasty main course. You can watch the chef master his cooking to perfection: braised pork or duck ribs, mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, broccoli... For dessert, original scoops of ice cream (black sesame, green tea) accompany a chocolate fondant or an equally successful oriental-inspired tiramisu.
