The Edouard Nignon Institute aims to raise the profile of this great chef from Nantes. He was apprenticed to a chef at the age of 9, and went on to become head chef at the Lapérouse and Marivaux restaurants in Paris, before embarking on a world tour of gastronomy and culinary writing. Initially, the association offered cooking classes to the general public. Today, their activities focus on promoting literature on gastronomy, with a culinary literary prize and the culinary Nignon prize, a presence at trade fairs such as Serbotel, and the organization of "culinaro-cultural lunches". Created in 1945, the Breton Circle of Nantes is one of the main actors in maintaining the Breton culture in Nantes and Loire-Atlantique. The assoc organises traditional Breton dance courses: gavotte, year-ord, hanter, wrinkled, avant, quadrille, maraîchine, round of Sautron or gavotte of the Aven, kerouézée, passepieds…. HBC Nantes was founded in 1953. Since 2016, Le H, as it is known, has been a major club in France and Europe, and represents the pride of Nantes sport. Under the presidency of Gaël Pelletier, the club with the three ermines has risen to the highest level, combining sporting performance and budget structuring, while investing massively in the training of young players. Gym form leisure, rhythmic gymnastics, male and female artistic gymnastics, these are different practices to which you can be initiated or perfect. Created in 1924, Photo Club Nantais is affiliated with the photographic Federation of France. Extremely of about sixty members, the PCN proposes a good amount of activities: introductory courses of the catch of views to the final print run (silver, black and white or digital), advanced training courses and some outings for catches of view in an emblematic place. The buildings serve as gallery of exhibition where work of the members is displayed. L'Atelier du Temps is an association of classic car owners based in Nantes, France, founded over 40 years ago and affiliated to the FFVE. The Comité Spéléologique Régional de Bretagne / Pays de la Loire is the representative body of the Fédération Française de Spéléologie in Region H, which includes the Brittany and Pays de la Loire regions. It is made up of clubs and licensed cavers in the departments of Côtes d'Armor, Finistère, Ille et Vilaine, Loire Atlantique, Maine et Loire, Mayenne, Morbihan, Sarthe and Vendée. In this club in the Doulon district, saber fencing is practiced (the only club in the department to offer saber fencing as a leisure activity, in competition and for seniors). From the age of six, children and adults can learn the fundamentals of the famous quinte, dodge, attack and score. The level of expertise of the teachers allows everyone to develop their skills in the chosen level of practice in a very friendly atmosphere. Before any practice, you will need to do some muscle strengthening (and some push-ups). The perfect fencer's outfit includes a cuirass, an under cuirass, an iron glove, pants, a jacket and the inevitable iron mask. Here, the outfit is rented for the year and the membership to the Federation is mandatory. This planetarium offers classic or 3D sessions according to specific themes. Among them, we find the observation of the sky, the presentation of constellations, a visit to the solar system, the study of a comet, etc. Content reserved for certain age categories: 3-5 years, 5-10 years, teenagers. It also publishes, with the help of the National Book Centre, an annual journal entitled Maritime Station (book + CD) which includes the authors'poems in the year - available on site or at the Western Wind library.
