LITTLE BRITAIN CAFE
Restaurant offering delicious English pastries in Nantes.
It's a sweet taste of England, as our English friends would say, that has taken up residence near the Parc du Grand Blottereau. And this pleasant taste of England is created by Steve and Laëtitia, two cooks who manage to take us across the Channel without having to leave Nantes. Steve is English and Laëtitia, his wife who works in the dining room, spent many years in England, gleaning recipes from her mother-in-law. Today, they adapt the recipes. On the lunch menu, choose from a tasty gourmet salad of lentils, tomatoes, shallots and smoked salmon, or the dish of the day: gourmet caramelized pork, or opt for the ratatouille-style vegetable tart. For the healthier, a combo with homemade soup or quiche. You can also enjoy the famous pies, savoury or sweet versions depending on the season. You can accompany this moment with a home-made drink such as lemonade or iced tea with red fruits and hibiscus, or a Schorle (a local soft drink made from fruit juice). And we end on an Anglo-gourmand note with a choice of succulent, typically English pastries: millionaires (cookie, caramel, chocolate), lemon meringue pie, death by chocolate, pecan pie, pear & hazelnut, lemon-lime blueberry, cheesecakes, scones, carrot cake... So sweet! Saturday brunches and cooking workshops to come... A great address!
