Following the exhibition at the Palace of Versailles, the Nantes Museum of Fine Arts offers an approach from the artist's poetic and literary point of view
This time we'll focus on the mythological work
One thinks in particular of his two famous paintings: the enigmatic Venus sets asking Vulcan for weapons for Aeneas
and the deification of Aeneas.
Where? In the Oratory Chapel:
The route allows you to discover about twenty paintings but also drawings by the painter
The most prestigious works will be presented thanks to the public and private collections collected
( The Louvre, Versailles, the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, the museums of Rouen, Rennes, Dijon, Caen )
Also noteworthy, for the first time in France, works from Manchester and Basildon Park
