The specialities of the Basque Country are not only Basque cake, chilli, chocolate and ham, but also sangria, which is produced and enjoyed on both sides of the border. Mainly in Ayherre in the Basque Country, a sparkling sangria called Loreak "the flowers" (in Basque) is produced by hand from natural wines, juices and flavors, in three flavors with a maximum alcohol content of 8% by volume. Available in white, pink and red, they are the perfect accompaniment to summer aperitifs and evening parties.

Opposite Les Halles de Bayonne, this cellar has a refined, well-lit setting to showcase the wines, with over 1,000 references. This old wine storehouse from the ^17th century is not only a wine cellar. The Basque Country is famous for Kupela (barrel in Basque), one of the region's leading names in artisanal ciders and apple juice. Its cider is produced in Astigarraga at the Etxeberria artisanal cider mill. Made from apples grown in the Basque country, it is less acidic than some Basque ciders. Slightly effervescent and fruity, it retains a certain bitterness reminiscent of Breton cider. With its pronounced aromas of fresh apples, Sagardoa Kupela pays tribute to Basque gastronomy. Available in delicatessens, supermarkets and restaurants.

Located in the heart of the (busy!) Saint-Frédéric business park, the establishment of Côté Cave is an excellent initiative by Maison Duprat, well known here for its bottling line. The employees of the many businesses around this new winery are delighted with the proximity, diversity and choice, with exceptional value for money. Over 600 references, including wines from here and abroad (and even from far away!), spirits and beers, including the Duprat house beer, which works directly with the brewers. Already a guaranteed success.

Abarratia is an autonomous Basque beer brand, and is brewed in Ayherre using renewable energy, water from the Uhaldegaraia spring and malts and hops grown in the Basque country, in an eco-responsible approach. They are available in cans, making them easy to store, transport and reduce breakage. Other advantages of cans: they're easier to recycle than glass, so they're more environmentally friendly, and the beer retains all its aromas. Available in blond, white and Session IPA.
