Museum with archaeological collections, paintings from the 17th to the 19th century, sculptures, and lithographs.
The museum is located in the upper part of the chapel of the Black Sisters, dating from the 18th century. Its founder, Bruno Danvin, a scholarly patron of the 19th century, brought these Franciscan sisters, devoted to orphans and caretakers, back to the city. Under a beautiful elevation that welcomes the light, you will see archaeological collections, paintings from the 17th to the 19th century, sculptures, earthenware and lithographs bequeathed by Alphonse de Rothschild. Temporary exhibitions of local artists are regularly presented.
