Located at the confluence of the Canche and Ternoise rivers, Hesdin is a large rural town forming a flowery island in the middle of a green setting. In the heart of the 7 valleys country, its past was prosperous and its historical heritage remains important. The Place d'Armes, its imposing town hall from the 16th and 17th centuries and its remarkable belfry bear witness to this. The Canche River, which meanders between 16th century houses and mansions, makes for very attractive walks. A land that has remained deeply agricultural, Hesdin has links with several sectors of the agri-food industry. Good restaurants and the view of the Canche make it a pleasant stopover.
