This commune of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques is well known to archaeologists, prehistoric camps having been discovered there. Among them, the Turoù of Dous Garos which rises to 90 m, was once surrounded by ditches and earthen ramparts. Vestiges of the Iron Age have also been discovered. Another historic site in Argagnon is the Saint-Pierre church dating from 1866. This building was built on the remains of the 11th century and is listed in the General Inventory of Cultural Heritage. You will also be able to see the village houses, typical of the region, with their beautiful "picous" or "picon" tile roofs and painted woodwork.
