Linked to Calais by the Guînes canal, dug in 1669, the commune is of undeniable tourist interest. It offers a pleasant living environment and a particularly rich natural heritage, thanks to its national forest and the Guînes marshland, which covers the entire northern part of the commune. A wide range of tourist facilities are available, including campsites, restaurants and the Pays d'Opale tourist office on rue Georges Clemenceau. The living museum of the village of Saint-Joseph is a must-see, as is the Tour de l'Horloge. As for nature, don't hesitate to head off into the vast national forest along one of the many signposted hiking trails. It's a real breath of fresh air!
