Étaples is a small fishing port that has survived invasion, fire and bombardment during the wars. The military cemetery is the largest in the Commonwealth. Don't hesitate to visit the naval museum and the Meréis aquarium-museum, and round off your knowledge with a visit to the traditional shipbuilding museum. Many walks are possible, in the heart of the National Nature Reserve, in the Bay of Canche, where you'll find a diversity of flora and fauna, including some rare species. The communal forest is home to many marked trails for hikers and sports enthusiasts.
