A coastal village located only 13 km from Calais and 29 km from Boulogne-sur-Mer, Escalles is ideally situated and mainly known for its majestic Cap Blanc-Nez, the northernmost cliff in France. It has thus become an ideal destination to discover the region, both on foot and by bike. During your discovery of the Calaisis, note the presence of the famous cycle track "La Vélomaritime", which runs along the French coast and crosses Escalles. The village is also crossed by the very nice "sentier des douaniers", part of the GR 20. Don't miss the church of Saint-Maxime and the pigeon house of the Grand'Maison.
