Echinghen, a small village in a green valley, is home to several gîtes and chambres d'hôtes, as well as excellent restaurants. Its well-preserved historical heritage includes a 12th-century church and a 16th-century manor house. The church, all white in its green setting, is the starting point for a hiking trail known as the viaduct, but there are several other routes, including one that follows the route of an ancient Roman road. A number of fine buildings add to the village's charm, including the Menneville manor house on the edge of a path known as the Napoleon Trail, along which the emperor used to ride to Boulogne.
