This Boulonnais commune of 4,000 inhabitants, at the gateway to the Pas-de-Calais Strait, has many surprises in store for tourists eager for fresh air and freedom. The town comprises the inland village of Camiers, the seaside resort of Sainte-Cécile-Plage and, further south, the Saint-Gabriel beach. Sports enthusiasts will be delighted to try their hand at sand yachting, speed-sailing or kitesurfing on the immense, magnificent sandy beaches. The beach hosts national and international sand yachting competitions. It's easy to get to Camiers: the Dannes-Camiers train station is well served by the region's regional express trains.
