For those who prefer to explore the village on their own, it's easy to find your way around, as there's a well-marked educational trail with signs all along the main street, covering a range of topics including the history of the village. Hiking: three signposted trails loop around Ainhoa. Also worth discovering is the "sentier des Contrebandiers" (smugglers' trail) marked by a blue Pottok between Ainhoa, Sare, Urdax and Zugarramundi.
