In 1271, Edward I founded the bastide of Villefrance-du-Queyran. From this past remain some vestiges: the Romanesque church Saint-Savin, the remains of the ramparts and the half-timbered houses. Every2nd Saturday in July, the Gargantuades are organised. Brotherhoods from all over France come to taste the regional specialities. You can join in the festivities (participation of about 35 €). Perhaps you will earn your weight in local products? At the end of February, the pig is killed! You don't have to watch the killing of the pig anymore, but you can enjoy its candied pieces, copas and other black puddings prepared by the members of the secular association.
