The town of 4,117 inhabitants is worth a visit for its magnificent church with a tower rising to 92 meters from its spire. Also worth seeing are the famous mills: the Drievenmeulen dating from 1774 and the Noordmeulen dating from 1576. The folklore of the city is represented by three giants: Jean the woodcutter, Rosalie and the Belle-Hélène. A little idea for a day out: horse-drawn carriage rides. In short, if you are in the region, don't hesitate to make a detour to visit Steevoorde, whether alone or with your family: you won't regret it, it's worth the trip, as is the surrounding region (and the North in general).
