City Hall of Roubaix having a frieze realized by sculptors recalling the importance of the textile and the rooms of prestige.
Inaugurated in 1911, it is the work of the architect Victor Laloux, Grand Prix de Rome 1878, and creator of the Gare d'Orsay. This real municipal palace of more than 6,000 m² reminds us of the importance of textiles in the city. The imposing frieze of 40 figures, created by local sculptors, shows the different stages of textile production. Don't miss the various prestigious rooms, from the wedding hall with its decorated ceiling to the Pierre-de-Roubaix room.
