Ghyvelde, a municipality of just over 4,000 inhabitants, has developed on an ancient dune belt. Born from a merger with Les Moëres in 2017, this new town is looking to the future and hopes to take full advantage of its geographical location, right next to the Belgian border. During your visit, don't miss the old convent as well as the magnificent building of the customs office (on the road between Dunkirk and Furnes). And keep an eye on the program of artistic actions in the region: maybe Ghyvelde will be the scene of a new high-flying performance, like during the Walking Shakespeare in Memories!
