Located in French Flanders, inhabited by nearly 1,500 inhabitants, the village of Haverskerque is an interesting stop on a trip to the North and offers a nice overnight stop for those who want to take the time to explore the region further, either via the Lys (for water) or by using the network of nodes (for cycling). Among many other things, there are several points of interest: the bridge of the Fosse Bourdon, with its tormented history, or the English cemetery, where English soldiers and airmen who fell during the two world wars are buried. Haverskerque is a pleasant detour!
