Grand-Fort-Philippe, with its beach entirely covered at high tide and its fortifications, is an ideal place for coastal walks and discoveries.
This sea stretches from Oye-Plage to the Grand-Fort-Philippe jetty. It's the perfect place to start a stroll in the Estran park. On August 15, a procession heads for the sailors' calvary at the end of the dike, and many houses are decorated with fishing nets or objects from the sea, and a wreath of flowers is thrown in memory of those lost to the sea. You can cross the channel by canoe from Grand-Fort-Philippe beach to Petit-Fort-Philippe beach.

Belle balade
Il est possible de faire de très jolies promenades le long de cette plage. Pas de foule en hiver, on a la plage pour soi, c'est vraiment un endroit privilégié, surtout lorsqu'on peut profiter du coucher du soleil sur la mer.

Depuis la jetée qui mène loin le long du chenal de l'Aa, on découvre la plage à perte de vue, la lumière est exceptionnelle sur ce paysage préservé et sauvage,cela procure une véritable émotion.
