Doignies is a rural commune with a population of about three hundred people, located in the agglomeration community of Cambrai. The Louverval Memorial is a memorial to the First World War, built in memory of the 7,048 Commonwealth soldiers who died during the 15 days of the Battle of Cambrai in 1917 on the Western Front. Another point of interest in Doignies, located next to the Memorial, is the British military cemetery where 124 graves of soldiers of the British Empire are located (six of which have not been identified). Finally, the church of Saint Martin is worth a visit
