The Museum of Flanders presents an exhibition about the passion of an anonymous collector for church interiors. For many years, a man who dreamed of being an architect collected about fifty paintings by Dutch and Flemish artists of the 16th and 17th centuries. These works all represent church interiors, animated with sketches of daily life. This unique and representative collection of Northern School architectural painting shows the bridge created between the earthly world and the divine. Added to this is contemporary counterpoint with two works by Belgian artist Wim Delvoye. A very nice event to go and see in Cassel, in the famous museum which reopened its doors to the public 10 years ago now. More information on the website of the Museum of Flanders
