An opportunity to discover the cathedral which houses the icon of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and the tomb sculpted by David d'Angers.
Cambrai built its cathedral under the episcopate of Fénelon, between 1696 and 1702, according to the classical style in use at the time of Louis XIV. It was then called the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, but was also nicknamed the "Wonder of the Netherlands". Destroyed during the French Revolution, it was rebuilt in the 19th century in the neo-baroque style. It houses the icon of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce but also the tomb sculpted by David d'Angers where Fénelon is buried. A must-see in Cambrai.
