The commune of Beuvry-la-Forêt has changed its name several times during its long history! Villa Bebrigum, Villa Beuvri, Villa Beuvrui, Villa Beuvri cum Vivario... Then the village became progressively Beuvery, Beuvrie, Beuvruy, Beuvries, Beuvry-lez-Orchies, and finally Beuvry-la-Forêt since 1969 ! What a history! Some monuments are not to be missed in the city: the Saint-Martin church, the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours chapel and the presbytery.
