Located in the Douaisis region, Aniche is the former capital of glass and coal. Its 11,000 inhabitants proudly claim its giant Kopierre. Conscripted at the beginning of the Second Empire, he measures 2.10 m! He participated in the 1870 war as a soldier of Napoleon III and even received the military medal from Marshal de Mac Mahon. Aniche is also an active network of sports, cultural and leisure associations.
