Originally, the village grew up around a Benedictine priory whose importance overshadowed the bishops of Rodez, until 1552 when the Benedictines were replaced by canons. This village is located at the north-eastern end of the Tarn-et-Garonne, 60 km from Montauban and 45 km from Albi. The town has a high-quality architectural heritage: the Lexos station, listed as a historical monument, the 11th century Romanesque church of Saint-Pierre, the fortified gateway, also listed since 1925, the church of Arnac, the castles of Belpech and Pechrodil and the church of Saint-Vincent. Also worth seeing: the half-timbered houses
